FINALLY!

Ken has been offered a job and YES he is taken it. It is a 9 month contract and he starts Dec 7th in Tulsa, Oklahoma working for Navistar on school buses. Navistar is the company he was working for in Fort Wayne, Indiana but there he was working on the diesel rigs interior. He is a designer engineer and has work on interiors of cars, trucks, airplanes, diesel rigs and now to add to his resume school buses. It is a bittersweet situation BUT we are very thankful that he has a job.
Life is good! Happy Holidays to all!

WOW!

I can't believe how long it has been since I have blogged something. I can blame my crazy but good life. I am trully happy with my life even along with the bad that has come my way. I have a wonderful boyfriend, beautiful home, a job I love (even though it's ending), my son Cody who is my world and I can't be more proud of, my family, my friends, my health and of course my pets.....Snoopy and Tiger. I am very blessed.

With this economy Ken's and my life is about to change (along with others). We are going through a hard time right now but I have a POSITIVE outlook and believe we will be fine with the outcome. I am a survivor and Ken is learning to be one too. I know there are a LOT of others trying to survive, doing what they can, making decisions they thought would never have to be made.....to survive. All I ask is NOT to lay judgement on others. Step back, stop and think about what you would do, how would you survive if you were in he or she's situation, OR how you would feel if you had to make choices that you thought you would never have to make that others are making now to.......SURVIVE. That is really what all of us are doing in one way or another. I have come across people who are to quick to judge and it is really sad and they SUCK! So on that note I wish everyone the best out in this crazy world.........xoxo :)

The 2 and half hours was lecture on washing hands, gloves, sharps, pathogens, Biohazard bags, boxes, how to handle all, etc...... then the last 2 hours we were in the lab practicing the hand washing and glove thing and the day was done. Homework all week...But it's all good.....Hope all is good with everyone.......xoxo

Kenny Chesney 2009

OMG! What a F'N good time we had......:)

The night started @ my house about 2. Tina and Amy arrived and Tina decided she wanted to change. She was feeling much rocker than country girl with her outfit. So we cruised over there so she could change. On to the D we went. We stayed at the Hotel St. Regis-Detroit. Very nice and for the bargain price of $77 bucks.....yeah! We meant up with some friends of Tina and Amy's after we checked in. Had some drinks and chit chat. More friends and drinks and friends and drinks and finally on into Ford Field in time to see Sugarland (loved them). In between the sets of Sugarland and Kenny we meant up with some more friends. Whet back to our seats to see Kenny's show. Kenny was AWESOME!!!! And Uncle Cracker showed up to sing "When the Sun Goes Down" very cool! IT WAS A GREAT TIME!!!!

P.S. We got the hats off a street vendor on our way to the parking lot to meet friends AND Amy and I loved this truck so I had to take pics......:) Tina wasn't diggin it to much.....lol OH! I loved the sticker that was on the back window......ROCKSTAR!!

Legends Sports Bar, Fenton

Me, Therese and Teresa

Me, Pam and Teresa

Me and Therese

Last Friday Teresa (my cousin), I and Therese (Teresa's friend) went to Legend's Sports Bar in Fenton. What a long drive but well worth it. Pam (my other cousin) is the manager there and it was country night and asked us to come out. The band was AWESOME!!! I wish I could remember their name. I would like to see where else they may be playing. I will have to ask. It was a great night. I haven't seen Pam or Teresa is a long time and I'm glad we are in touch again. They are fun girls! t.t.f.n.

Highland Lakes OCC....

My class that I'm taking in Sept, Clinical Procedures I is held at the Highland Lakes Campus in Waterford. I went there yesterday to get my book and whatever else I need. First I forgot to take a picture of the campus sign. So I will have to do that next time. So I get there I'm in the bookstore. I asked for help on finding what I need for this class. He took me where I needed to be and handed me the books and the pouch with the blood pressure cuff, stethoscope and other things.

When he handed me those books I almost dropped them they were so HEAVY! I also have to get scrubs too. I will get those later I still have a few days. So anyway I'm at the counter ready to pay and I'm thinking there is no way I am going to be able to carry these books and that pouch as heavy as they are(the books that is) on my back. So I decided I needed a backpack that rolls. The lady that was helping me thought so too. She said I would tip over backwards trying to carry them. We laughed and I said I wouldn't go that far but I know my back would be killing me. So I went to look and of course I found a pink/black one. So $206 dollars later of school supplies I'm walking out the door. But before I left and it was my turn to check out there was this lady in front of me getting her daughters supplies for her Nursing classes the total came to $611 OMG! I almost fill to the floor. That was out of her own pocket. I'm getting a pell grant for school and am very thankful for it. Anyway, I'm excited to start. I think it is going to be interesting and also more challenging that the other two classes I have taken. Hope all is well with everyone....t.t.f.n.

Took my chance.....

Well I took the chance and I did manage to get in one. Medical Asst. Clinical Proc I....which starts Sept 8 on every Tuesday afternoon until Dec 15. Hopefully I will have better luck the Winter semester. I don't want to go in the winter because of the sucky weather. I have to suck it up if I want to this schooling going and at least have on certificate before next summer. The certificate will at least get me in the door of employment and then I can continue on. Hope all is well with everyone......:)
